How much rain did South Florida get last month? Five times historic average

South Florida got more than 9 inches of rain in January across the 16 counties managed by the South Florida Water Management District.

That’s five times the historic average and more than any single month in the entire 2015 rainy season.

Individual areas likely got more than 9 inches. In West palm Beach, a two-day total last week was above 5 inches.
