Astronauts aboard the International Space Station are treated to spectacular sights as stunning auroras dance over the Earth.
They captured the amazing images on camera. A compilation was posted to NASA T.V. last week.
According to the Space Weather Prediction Center, aurora are the result of electrons colliding with the upper reaches of Earth’s atmosphere.
Auroras in the northern hemisphere are called Aurora Borealis. They are called Aurora Australis in the southern hemisphere.
