Palm Beach County Labor Day weather

The National Weather Service is expecting a return to more seasonal weather this weekend following the tumult in the atmosphere caused by Hurricane Hermine, which has been downgraded to a tropical storm after making landfall near St. Marks overnight.

Rain chances will remain low throughout the three-day weekend with just a 20 to 30 percent chance along the coast. That increases some inland as afternoon sea breezes kick up typical summer-like storms.

It will be warmer than normal because of less cloud cover with highs in the low 90s and overnight lows near 80 degrees.

The average temperatures for this time of year is a high of 89 and a low of 76.

Beach conditions look pretty good with a low risk of rip currents at Palm Beach County beaches as winds turn light and mostly form the south and southeast. But forecasters at the National Weather Service in Miami warn that a long shore current will be moving swiftly to the north, meaning swimmers may be tugged that way also.
