Storms continue into rush hour, flood advisory for southeastern Palm Beach County

Update 4:23 p.m. Thunderstorms continue to erupt across Palm Beach County this afternoon with significant weather advisories being issued for coastal and inland areas.

Forecasters are warning of nickel-sized hail, up to 55 mph winds and frequent to excessive lightning.

The advisories are in effect until 5:15 p.m.


Previous story: The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for areas of southeastern Palm Beach County as slow moving thunderstorms dump heavy rain.

Forecasters said this could cause minor flooding in Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, Lake Worth and Greenacres.

The advisory is in effect until 6 p.m.
