Weekend cold front brings first high temperatures below 80 since April

A cold front forecast to approach South Florida on Friday may keep daytime high temperatures in the 70s over the weekend with lows dipping into the 60s.

It would be the first time since April that high temperatures at Palm Beach International Airport dropped below 80 degrees. They have reached 80 or above since April 17 when the high hit 79 degrees.

The official forecast from the National Weather Service in Miami is for a high Friday of 81 degrees. But that falls to a high of 78 on Saturday and a high of 79 Sunday. Inland areas of Palm Beach County will have even cooler temperatures.

Normal high temperatures for this time of year are 82 degrees. Normal lows are 68 degrees.
