Southwest winds ahead of a cool front pushing through today left West Palm Beach with temperatures 9 degrees above normal.
But it didn’t break, or even tie, a record.
Today’s record temperature of 87 degrees was set in 1959. The temperature at Palm Beach International Airport only reached 86 degrees.
The cool front that will move through this afternoon and tonight will drop temperatures closer to normal for tomorrow and Friday.
Temperatures are expected to be in the low 60s Thursday morning and even cooler Friday morning as they dip into the 50s.
But everything starts to warm back up Saturday before the next cold front that should push through Saturday night and Sunday.
