Things seem a little wonky today? This space storm may be why

The Space Weather Prediction Center has Earth on a geomagnetic storm watch today as the planet enters an area of fast-moving solar wind.

While the watch is only at a G1 level, the lowest on a five-level threat scale, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said it’s still can have an affect on Earth.

According to NOAA, there may be weak power grid fluctuations today, minor affects on satellite operations and migratory animals may get a little weird.

At higher altitudes, from Michigan to Maine, the aurora is commonly visible.
